The Polissoire — Silk Exfoliating Glove

23 Momme Mulberry Silk Crepe · 100% Mulberry Silk

The texture isn’t added. It’s woven in.

Most exfoliators rely on something extra: ground shells, sugar, abrasive coatings or synthetic mesh.

The Polissoire does not.

It is crafted from mulberry silk woven as crepe. Highly twisted yarns create a naturally fine, pebbled surface within the fabric itself. There is no added grit and no exfoliating coating.

With water and light pressure, the textured silk helps lift away dry, dull surface skin from the backs of the arms, elbows, knees, ankles and feet. Skin feels smoother, and the body care you apply afterwards meets a freshly exfoliated surface.

Silk was once reserved for royalty. Now it is the first thing you reach for.

6 Reasons Your Skin Will Love The Polissoire

1. Smooths rough, bumpy looking skin

The naturally textured silk lifts away dead surface skin, helping smooth dry areas and improve the appearance of bumpy, keratosis pilaris–prone skin.

Gentle exfoliation removes the surface build-up that can make skin feel rough—without trying to scrub the bumps away by force.

2. Helps care for ingrown hair prone skin

Dead surface skin can build up around emerging hairs. Removing that build-up gives the hair a clearer path through the skin and leaves the area feeling smoother.

Use it as part of your regular body-care routine when preparing for shaving or waxing-never directly over inflamed or infected ingrown hairs.

3. Softens the areas lotion cannot fix alone

The backs of the arms, elbows, knees, ankles and feet often remain rough no matter how much body lotion you apply.

That is because lotion cannot remove the dry surface layer sitting on top of the skin. The Polissoire lifts away that build-up first, leaving a smoother surface for the body lotion, oil or serum you already own.

It can also help lift old, uneven self-tan before your next application.

4. Exfoliates without harsh added grit

There are no sugar crystals, ground shells or abrasive particles to dissolve and wash away.

The exfoliating texture belongs to the silk itself. It is created through the twist of the yarn and the structure of the crepe weave - not through a coating added afterwards.

The fabric does the work, so you do not need to scrub harder.

5. Offers a gentler approach for mature skin

As skin matures, it can become drier and more easily irritated. The answer is not necessarily more pressure or a harsher scrub.

The Polissoire is designed to be used once or twice a week with water, light pressure and controlled strokes. It provides effective physical exfoliation without turning body care into a daily assault on the skin.

6. Exfoliation without synthetic microplastics

Many conventional exfoliating gloves are made from polyester or nylon—plastic-based fibres commonly knitted into a coarse mesh. These synthetic textiles can shed plastic microfibres as they wear and wash.

The Polissoire takes a different approach. Its exfoliating surface is made from 100% mulberry silk: a natural protein fibre transformed through weave and twist rather than synthetic mesh or added abrasives.

No polyester. No nylon. No synthetic plastic mesh. Just naturally textured mulberry silk against your skin.

Why silk?

Silk is usually chosen because it is smooth. The Polissoire uses it differently.

By weaving highly twisted silk yarns into crepe, the fabric develops a fine, naturally pebbled texture. That texture creates the gentle friction needed to lift away surface build-up.

Nothing abrasive needs to be added. The exfoliation comes from the construction of the cloth itself.

It is a more considered alternative to coarse synthetic mesh: not because the aim is to remove less, but because effective exfoliation should not require aggressive scrubbing.

Gentler is the point

More pressure does not necessarily mean better exfoliation.

Repeated, vigorous rubbing can irritate the skin and leave it looking red or uneven—particularly if your skin marks easily. Harsh friction may also make keratosis pilaris–prone skin feel more irritated rather than smoother.

The Polissoire is designed for controlled use with long, light strokes—lifting what is ready to leave without grinding at the skin underneath.

Light strokes. Once or twice a week. Let the weave do the work.

Who it’s for

Rough or bumpy-looking skin For dry-feeling areas including the backs of the arms, elbows, knees, ankles and feet—and skin prone to the appearance of keratosis pilaris.

Ingrown-hair-prone skin For gently removing dead surface build-up as part of your shaving or waxing routine.

Skin that marks or becomes irritated easily A more considered alternative for people who have learned that aggressive scrubbing can leave their skin looking red or uneven.

Mature skin For skin that still benefits from regular exfoliation but may no longer respond well to forceful, repetitive scrubbing.

Self-tan users For helping lift old, uneven colour and preparing the skin for a smoother-looking application.

Anyone invested in body care For removing the dry surface build-up standing between your skin and the lotions, oils and serums you already own.

How to use

Use once or twice a week.

Warm the skin under the shower or in the bath for several minutes.

Wet the glove and squeeze out the excess water. Do not apply soap, oil or body wash—the glove works best against clean, damp skin.

Using long, light strokes, move over the body without repeatedly scrubbing the same area.

Rinse the skin, then apply body lotion or oil while it is still slightly damp.

For body use only. Do not use on broken, sunburnt, freshly waxed, infected or inflamed skin. Stop using if irritation occurs.

Care

Rinse thoroughly after every use and allow the glove to dry completely in a well-ventilated place.

Hand wash periodically in cool water using a gentle, silk-safe cleanser. Do not bleach, tumble dry or use fabric softener.

The fabric may feel firmer when dry and soften again once wet.

A scrub adds abrasion. The Polissoire lets the fabric do the work.
